No need to stand in line at The Fountain; just grab a seat and we’ll serve you. We strive to be your comforting ‘third place’ where you come to meet old friends, meet new friends, and leave the cares of the ‘first place’, home, and the ’second place’, work or school, behind. So, leave the laptop in its case, ditch the cell phone, and connect the old-school way; face-to-face with real, live people.
But, we also recognize that sometimes you can’t stop and relax. That doesn’t mean that you should have to sacrifice quality for convenience. The Fountain also features a drive-thru service for people on the go. Skillfully made espresso drinks and thoughtfully sourced food such as warm breakfast croissants and crumpets, individual quiches, and French ‘train’ sandwiches are among our offerings. And not to worry, this is not your run-of-the-mill drive-thru menu. Our coffee is artisanally roasted by Bellingham Bay Coffee, and our staff is professionally trained to deliver an amazing drink every time. Our food is fresh, whole, and prepared in-house by adept cooks who care. This is not fast-food, but rather slow food prepared quickly.
A coffeehouse, a cafe, a grand cafe, a wine bar, a village pub, a bottle shop, a French bistro, and an American diner. The Fountain is whatever you are. The Fountain is whatever you need. Thoughtful, attentive, and reasonable, The Fountain will satisfy your conscience, and flatter your pocket. Much like the proverbial fountain of yore, The Fountain will provide nourishment from dawn until late to our neighbors near and far. Early am, am, early pm, pm. Sit down, and stay awhile. Drive-thru.
